Conflicts

This is confusing to a newb.

Which is better and WHY:
Let the PPC override the PC
Let the PC override the PPC
Or, leave them unresolved?

Need an experienced soul to please give some vivid examples, particularly related to the SNOOZE feature.

Thanks!!

It is not normally a problem. Lets say you update a phone number on your axim. When you sync it will update the phone number in outlook. :approve: If instead you change a phone number in outlook next time you sync it will update the phone number on your Axim. :approve: What these settings are for is if you update a phone number on your Axim AND on outlook but they are different. In this case ActiveSync needs to know what to do because it doen't know what one is correct.

So you have to tell it what one to beleive in this case. Do you want the one in outlook(desktop) to win or do you want the one on your axim to win. Or neither and leave the item unresolved. I would go with one of the first two and not leave items unresolved.

As to the snooze feature, I have no idea what you are talking about. Good Luck~

Reminders: Snooze Blues PLEASE Help Us Understand

Set appointment on PC for 1pm
Take PPC and leave, 1pm comes along
Hit snooze for 60 minutes

Outlook is still ON AND RUNNING on PC in office.
Come back to office.
The 1pm Appointment reminder ALSO came up on the PC.
The reminder Window is there, on the PC.

We snoozed this appointment on the PPC.
The appointment came up on the PC because outlook was runing, but we could not snooze it on the PC since we were not there.

That reminder window is there on the PC.
"Meeting 1pm"
This was snoozed on the PPC.

When we cradle the PPC that PC reminder still stay there, even though we snoozed tha appt back 60 minutes on the ppc. Cradling the PPC does not make the PC's open reminder window go away.

Is this because of the conflict setings?

Hi Fly,

Then... how does one manage reminders?

It seems that when a you are on the road and reminder comes up on the PPC, if you snooze it on the PPC, it will still be in the old state on the PC, even after syncing?

Please can you tell me, from your experience, what's the best way to deal with reminders? How do you deal with them?

Thanks!

I don't use them. Seems to be a area of limbo when you snooze one. If you cancel it or just change it, it should sync correctly. But not the snooze.
