Beam PALM contact to AXIM troubles

I am trying to convert my PALM contact list over to my Axim X5. I beam them one at a time, and the come to the X5 just fine. The names, addresses, phone #'s, etc. appear correctly. Now, when I initiate the activesync, I get every one of my contacts as a conflict. I don't know how to resolve them. I tried changing the options on the X5 to force it to overwrite the desktop, and again as overwrite the handheld. Now matter what I do they remain as conflicts.

Export your contacts from the palm desktop program as a Comma Separated file you choose this when you click export under file. Then you can import them into Outlook. Sync your contacts to your axim. Et voilà

This is an old thread - but Frenchy you are the best. Your advice was right on the mark. I have been trying to find a way to transfer my contacts from my palm desktop to my axim. :approve:

Glad this helps someone :approve: I know that other utility tools have been made and can automate this task now.

Can't you sync your Palm to Outlook with PocketMirror and then sync you Axim?

Another FREE way is to use a Yahoo Address Book. It will Import/Export both Palm Desktop and Outlook. I've tried it and it works very well.

This is the method I used in going from a T3 to a X50V.

Palm to X51V

I tried the Yahoo method and got a bunch of empty contacts on my Axim and no way to remove them all. ALL my contacts were uploaded to yahoo correctly and back down to Outlook, however, now I can't seem to get them from Outlook into my X51V. Only the first contact works, then about 100+ "blank" contacts. Help?
