Ok whats up with Dells one day replacement, they told me 5 days to replace my defective Axim. They didn't even say it would get it next day. Someone posted one day exchange policy which i can tell you is not true. Does anyone know if i am wrong? Well, i am still waiting for it. Yes, i like unit but never had time to try it out.

Also, still haven't found a serial cable for it yet. I was told that a CF serial adapter is made but i need a null and gender changer. If i had a diagram to how to make one i would anyone know or have a service manual on the Dell axim to see connections?

Thanks Phil

As for the exchange policy, it is not next day. The Shipping of the Device is Next day, but it takes minimum 2 business days to prepare your replacement order before they ship it. And have fun trying to get Dell to take it back. They didn't ship a return airbill or paperwork, and it took me 2 days to get somebody at tell to schedule an Airborne pickup to get the defecitve device back. But still, overnight shipping does help....

It took 1 week for me to receive my replacement Axim. I got an invoice for it 2 days later. I had to call customer care to get an Airborne Express pickup-that took less than 24 hours. I love my Axim but customer svc leaves a little to be desired <_<

I went thru a similar experience I had to return one of the Axims I ordered because the rubber gripping on the sidewas coming off. Took 5 days to prep (week of New Years) and they shipped next day after it was done.

Not the worst deal, however Dell should have made that clear when you order an Axim. A bit deceptive on their part if you ask me.

I've heard from a reliable source that Dell is being VERY particular with their suppliers for the Axim.

They're not going to ship out something they know is sub-par (there will always be variation simply due to the suppliers) so getting enough acceptible units to fulfill all current orders in addition to replacements could be difficult at times.

Just what I've heard. :D
C-ya.
