Sure it sounds silly- what I am looking for is something that will let me have a top level directory ie: DAIRY and underneath it all the products that I need to buy with a checkbox beside each item.
Kind of like the Tasks application, but I need a top level. Thinks of organizing your contacts by company.

There are a gazillion list programs. Go to somewhere like pocketgear and search for them. Unfortunately most of them are more difficult than they are worth.

It may be easier to just type yourself a list in Notes.
