memory, and total frustration

Hi all,

I got my X50v about a week ago, and I'm just totally frustrated. I can't figure out how to do _anything_ with it! It just seems totally overwhelming to get it to a point where the software that I want is running.

Right now it's the memory thing that's totally killing me. When I try to install software, I'm told that I have no space in either my BIS or my SD card, both of which are empty. What do I have to do to get some space in them?? The only space it says that I have is about 30 megs of RAM.

Thanks for any suggestions, about this, or about how to get going in general. I've read the tutorials, and looked at the threads ... and I still can't seem to wrap my head around this thing.

Thanks in advance for any help.

welcome to the site. Hope we can help. I know it can get frustrating, but it will get better, hehehe. Believe me, I was there a couple months ago.
First of all, read my "memory tutorial", the link is in my signature, then post back and hopefully we can help. Oh yeah, did you format your SD and CF card at the start. It might help, as long as you have nothing on them, at least nothing important yet.
