Yes....ThunderHawk is a great browswer/service, and is worth $50. I used up my 30-day trial period last week, and am now lost without it. I don't really have $50 to spend right now, but plan on subscribing come Fall semester here....when I actually have money again!
Like cageyjames said, it is not paying a yearly fee for the software. It is paying for a service. Their is a LOT of backend activity going on at ThunderHawk's end. It basically acts as a proxy that you go through to access every web page you view. Their servers basically (in simple language) take a web page (say
www.cnn.com for instance) at a high resolution like you would view on your PC (say 800x600), shrinks it to fit your Axim screen (320x240) while maintaining a proper aspect ratio, and clears up the text to a readable font. For almost every site that I have visited (including Outlook Exchange Webserver with lots of frames), it looks almost identical to viewing the webpage on a desktop. And no problems reading it at all. Great service!!
