D-pad problem

My Axim arrived yesterday and I've been playing with it non-stop. However, when playing a game and pushing the D-pad right...nothing happens. Does the 5th button patch fix this? Or is there another trick I haven't figured out yet?

Does pushing right work with other programs like MS Excel?
I'm assuming you have received one of the newer Axim's with the PXA255 chip with ROM Version A02. (Check your Settings--> System tab and look in "About" & "System Information" if you'd like to know.) I doubt the patch will work since it is just for the center button to act like and "Enter" function.

If you find that you are having a hard time still pressing right, I'd contact Dell Tech Support for help. If they cannot help you they will send you a replacement. ;)

I do indeed have the new chip and Rom version. So, I disabled the "5th button = Enter" option and now I can push right. The D-pad isn't exactly the greatest, but it will do 8)

Thanks for the reply!

You're welcome.
That's good to hear about your D-pad. Not too many ppl are satisfied with their D-pad. I wasn't with my first one but at least there is a slight improvement with the replacement.
