Could you be more specific when you said that I can overcome this "snag" by renaming the Flash 6 system file, like which exactly is the system file ? And, if I do this, does it mean that I have to rename it back when I come across sites that are friendly to Flash 6 ?
If the browser closes out when trying to render Flash, it probably will never render the page until Macromedia releases a new version of the player for us to use.
My "trick" is to rename the Flash file (the Flash.DLL file I think, rename it anything like FlashX.Xdll or whatever) and that way you can visit the Flash enabled page w/o your browser crashing b/c the site will think you do not have Flash installed. If it is a Flash only page, you are out of luck.
Hope this helps! The player is version 6, but current PC browsers use version 8+ so you can see how this is a problem that Macromedia needs to work on.

Update to my list, Flash Player 7 for the PPC is released now. I've tested it on my x51v and it seems to display sites now that Player 6 does not display. Nice!
This new player should work on WM5 and 2003 operating systems for PPCs!
Get the CAB file and check it out. Don't expect a big difference though, rendering is still SLOW, as to be expected on a PDA. Uninstall the old player if you have it already, and install this one to see if it works better for you...

Has any one successfully been able to use the imov messenger to work? I have downloaded and installed the program. Since jabber.com does not support Yahoo Messenger and AOL IM, I used tipic.com as the IM server. Still no luck? Would love to see this program work on my Axim 51v.

The freewareppc link to NoteM is broken. It looks like the author's website is gone. Does anyone have a current link? Great list BTW, thanks! It can still be found at: http://www.pdagold.com/software/detail.asp?s=30
Thanks, I updated the link!
