If the browser closes out when trying to render Flash, it probably will never render the page until Macromedia releases a new version of the player for us to use.
My "trick" is to rename the Flash file (the Flash.DLL file I think, rename it anything like FlashX.Xdll or whatever) and that way you can visit the Flash enabled page w/o your browser crashing b/c the site will think you do not have Flash installed. If it is a Flash only page, you are out of luck.
Hope this helps! The player is version 6, but current PC browsers use version 8+ so you can see how this is a problem that Macromedia needs to work on.
