I wanted to thank you for the time and trouble you took to make such a nice list of apps!! I purchased a used x50 and did not realize first of all it didn't upgrade and also that Dell was moving away from supporting axims. I recieved it Saturday and spent just a bit of time playing with it yesterday. I am anxious to find some applications that will be useful to me. I've had axims before and love them! I will check out some of your suggestions!! Thank you!!:approve:
Glad to help! I've perused my links today and updated the XNView image viewer/editor. They had a new link and new version 1.35, I'll have to check that out.
Also, GSPlayer has a new version 2.25. I'll check that out as well.
I updated the ActiveSync version to 4.2 and guess I'll try it too.

Great list! New toys for my toy (x51v). Thanks for your clear, simple intro. Had an iPaq that NEEDED this kind of list.
I'm trying MortPlayer - think I'll try GSPlayer - I sure like GS Finder.
Not sure I'd use the WiFi Radar but took a look at it - says it needs .net 2.0???
Have you looked at Metro (nanika.net/Metro) for subway routes/schedules for cities all around the world? I've used it in London, Boston, Kyoto/Osaka (nice when I couldn't even read the signs).
PocketXchange is a handy updateable currency exchange calculator at www.bbpsoftware.co.uk
Pocket Convert does all kinds of unit conversions - www.thirdByte.com
Easter Date Calculator figures (tada!) Easter Sunday 1583-4099 - www.alessandrorossi.net
Thanks for the VGA dead link info C1oudrs! I updated the link in the list so it works now.
Thanks all for the comments, I'll take a look at your suggestions Mark.
Remember to check out my Full screen keyboard link on my list, I have 0 donations for my work so far, maybe some grateful users can help me out there. *wink wink*

Wow, stormloader. I've got true VGA now. I'd just about given up because of the dead links everywhere, the 2003 solutions, and the 'go into this registry and change that' solutions, but it won't work with this . . .
Thank you for letting me know and thanks for the VGA. I'm a finger-hate-the-stylus-user, so I've got some major tweaking around to do to avoid the stylus now, but it will be worth it! Thanks again.
Look on my main list and you will see the working link. The link you referenced is an old link that was working at that time, but my main list on the 1st post is where you should get all the working links. If there is a messed up link there, as c1oudrs found recently, then bring that to my attention.
I will see about editing the post you mentioned.
Thanks!

Thanks for the great list. You might want to check out and add FoxitReader while it is in beta. It works the best for simple reading of .pdf fiiles without the timing out issues or slowness of other free readers.
In Version 1.1 Mark added the program VGAToggle to the installation to allow the switching between VGA and QVGA modes without having to uninstall/reinstall the TrueVGA for just toggling, Great stuff, I'll have to try that out... be sure to go to his link on my list if you have a VGA device.
