i need help with avantgo..........


i think i screwed something up somehow......but anyways here is the question.

1) is avantgo stored in ROM? (why you ask because i accidentally erased the avantgo folder which was in the windows folder)

2) if i do a HARD reset will i get avantgo back on my axim as it were factory installed or do i have to reinstall it again from the avantgo website?

3) all the files an folders found in the windows folder of the axim stored in RAM or ROM?

i know i know.........what newbie questions are these but if anyone can help that would be great.

It shouldn't matter, when you sync after a hard reset the avantgo server will download all the latest "webpages" and put them on the Axim. I guess if you deleted a folder required by Avantgo, a hard reset will bring you back. If you want to move the Avantgo files off of your memory and on to a SD or CF card, try this program.

hey. that regking looks like a cool program... is it safe to do those registry hacks? is it possible to screw the axim by using the program?

Yes and no... If you don't feel safe doing it on your desktop, don't do it on your Axim. A program like RegKing is kind of foolproof, but as with any reg hack, things can go wrong....
