Hot spots using proxy servers......
Hi,

I've just moved to a new university where all the hotspots connect to the net using a proxy server (whatever that means) and the upshot is that I can surf the university intraweb but not external sites.

I've tried varioius things such as checking the box that says "this connects me to a proxy server" -in connections- and then typed in the server http the university gives on its help page but I still cant get to external sites.

Any suggestions?
