I thought I would start a thread to see who around here has a PSP and what games you have.

Of course the users from PSP Site will most likely have a PSP, but some of the others from iPaqhq/MobilitySite may have one as well and its nice to see who all has one right?

I for one do have one, I was going to get one when they first came out but never did (for some odd reason ), but now a month or so ago I did purchase one! Unbelievable device!

As for Games:
-GTA: Liberty Cities Stories (even if you are against GTA (because of shooting and gangs), it is a good game and has a lot more to offer than just M material, it has lots of good racing, side missions (like car sales man, pizza delivery, car collection), and is overall VERY impressive on the PSP)

-Need for Speed Most Wanted (I love NFS games )

I have a PSP as well. My wife uses it much more than I do. My games are NFS Underground Rivals and Tiger Woods Golf.

GTA and Socom Navy Seals.

I'd like to say that GTA is an amazing game especially the mutliplayer ad hoc mode with a few friends

Socom is also interesting but only if you can get a wifi signal because I find the Single Player mode quite dull. But the Counterstrike esk online multiplayer could be the killer app for the PSP.

I was subscribed to Gamefly, so I played almost about every game out there. I play a lot of homebrew games / LUA kind on my PSP.

Have hardly touched SSX On Tour and GTA. Most of my time is spent with NFS Most Wanted. Love that game.

Will love it even more when:
-Someone figures out a way to add decent browser to f/w 1.5
-I figure out the best encoding settings for pmp format
-They start selling UMD Movies for less than $10 (I might buy a few)
-They start giving away free UMD Version of the movie when you buy the DVD
-PSP Magazine starts hitting the shelves with free UMD Demos, etc..

If you still have FW1.5 its gonna stink pretty soon (and right now) as almost all the new games require either 2.0 or now up to 2.5 to play.....

I personally got mine with 2.01 (not downgradable) so i just went to 2.6

But now if you look on the front of mobilitysite, 2.6 is also halfway hacked

You need to buy a game, and the "good stuff" don't even work with that.
IN any case we will wait..
Oh, by the way sony is coming with a new firmware and will keep updating firmware and adding new features, and probably making new games require the new firmware as well... But anyway, all good things end..

SONY did their part in this homebrew, and made PSP Popular enough! Yes.. and now it is time to take it all back.
Did you honestly think it was some guy in his parents' basement doing all these brews and hacks and exploits?

I have been playing with the 2.6 homebrew and i can run all the emulators and stuff that i have tried.

The only main thing not supported are UMD emulators that is for illegal game rips....just go and buy the games to support the publishers please so this doesn't turn into another dreamcast senario....

I agree that the ISO part of the PSP gaming got pretty much out of hand, especially with the way now many people try to break into 2.5+ and be able to run games on it.

Can you really run all of the brews out there on your 2.6? I tried on my friends 2.6 but could not RIN or other GB/SNES emus to run properly.. But anyway, that's another subject.

I totally support developers and I am sure sony is thinking something sweet with PSP, however, if they go over board and ask people to buy the same PS1/2 games when they release Official PS Emulator for PSP, now that would be pretty disappointing. Sony is planning digital versions of the games to be sold over the internet and be able to play off MS DUO ( and hopefully increase the awful load times, and avoid lags/glitches, such as those on FIFA when ball goes out of bound!).
