Psp Nba
The reviews on this game were not very positive so I did not buy it at first. I got bored of NFS so I took a chance and got this game last night. It is awesome! I have been reading that the EA games are not supporting online play yet even though the boxes say they do. I played 3 games online last night and the memebers area was packed. I have my regular PS2 online but do not use it much. For some reason online play with the PSP was really awesome! I don't know what other games you can do this with but this is going to be a big deal for some people. The DS I had for while would not even get on my network and only allowed you to play against other DS users. Check it out if you can.

Yeah I heard bad things about NBA also but thanks, you've made me interested in it now. Also, why is everyone saying that ea games won't work online when apparently they do? Rumours spread so fast lol.

Wait, Correct me if I'm wrong but your basketball isn't EA, its Sony NBA. I may be wrong but I don't think ea has nba yet for the psp. So the whole thing of the online play and EA means nothing unless I'm wrong.

Cool! I always liked basketball video games. I don't know why, because I'm much more of a baseball fan. Maybe it's because they're generally simple.

Anyway, I agree with you about the Nintendo DS. It's quite annoying, I tell you, that you can't play online. I'm sure that the PSP's online titles will force Nintendo to hurry up with their long-procrastinated online stuff. It's too bad that the Nintendo DS doesn't do nearly as much as it should.

Here is the link from EA:

http://eatech.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/e...?p_faqid=17447

I don't know if they can add online play later but it's kind of strange that they did not support this from the start. The NBA game I do have is sony, I hope when EA comes out with their NBA/MLB games that those support online play.

Yeah, me too. I really want online play, and it's one of the best parts of the PSP.

Yeah, that REALLY ticks me off. One of the best things about the PSP that makes it a real competitor of the Nintendo DS is the fact that it actually has online play. It's too bad that all of EA's games don't have online play. EA makes some of the best sports games, as we all know, so it's really too bad. We should start a petition asking for EA to offer online play.

EA pretty much has a monopoly on sports titles, I wonder why they are not supporting online play. Do they have to provide the server for all the games or does Sony?

They probably would have to provide the server I am guessing, and it would cost more for them to run them, but they are such a monopoly you would figure they would have so much money.

Yea they have so much money and they want to keep it that way...LOL, but on another note, this means there will be NO online football for PSP at all since they own all the rights to NFL video games, i hope they change their stance on this.

ditto that, I hope they change their minds on that, EA is just plain greedy, I hate that they took the exclusive NFL deal
