Viewing Pictures and video ON the psp
i have been trying to put a small video or picture on the psp to view portably, but i think i am missing something, i put the files on the flash card and even tried to use sonic stage, which would work for music but not for video or picture fles,
anyone been able to put such files and view them or am i being misslead or missunderstanding something?

I have not tried video yet but I know for photos you need to create folders on your MS card. First create PSP than under that folder create PHOTO, I would guess that a folder called VIDEO would work for videos but I have not tried it. I'm not sure what video files the PSP will play yet, I have been to busy playing games.

yes it only plays mp4 files, get psp video 9. this a freeware program that converts and copies movies to your psp through a usb connection automatically. very easy to use.

To view photos.... they have to be on card at PSP/PHOTO --- create the directory PHOTO if you have to.

It converts movies that I did for my PPC no problem, they were about 980mb .avi files and the first one I converted (AVP) is down to 563mb. I have been looking all over for 1 hb MSDUO card so I have not had a chance to check out the video quality. I did notice that the conversion is set at 320 x 240 so I am very curious to see how they will come out.

Cool! Video playback.

I'm surprised that there's no file explorer on the PSP. That'd be really cool. Someone ought to make something like that. Since the PSP uses memory sticks, I'm surprised that no one has been able to write programs for the PSP that can be transferred via the PC.
