Play mp4 on your PC
Would you like to see the stuff on your PC first before transfering them to your PSP?

I suggest using mpegable player.

With it you can first try out your ripped/converted movies on your PC or stuff that you downloaded from .connect site if they are really worth keeping on your PSP's Stick.

Download the Standalone player HERE

Alternatively, you can also install this decoder in order to play mp4 encoded files within your Windows Media Player. But I feel standalone will be a better choice now, since it may disable or cause mix up with other decoders.

Check out the screenshot here:

ACE megacodec pack is really good, but it has too much codecs that you really don't need.

Also another problem with too much codecs on PC is that some codecs carry vulnerability & exploits. divx used to have it later they removed it, also remember the url directions within movies to download dialers & run them while you are enjoying your "instructional & educational" videos

of course if you know what you are doing, those codec packs are handy.

MS needs to include the widely used ones in the WMP11, but they want people to use WMV, so they probably wont.

I use WMP for some stuff. Either that or I use VLC it plays everything and is so light weight.

VLC is driving me crazy on my OS X. I use mPlayerOSX on my iBook, I guess it the OS X 10.3 that is messing up stuff. Normally I have to restart my iBook at least once each video, because right in the middle it just gets stuck and i got the Mendatory Restart message...

^really I never have that trouble on my mac, VLC always runs flawlessly for me

Let me ask you a question, do you use your mac to encode dvds or do you just do that on a pc? If so then what program do you use?

I don't encode anything on my mac. It is an iBook w/800 mhz. I only use it for Divx/xviD Player connected to my HDTV set.

Other than that, there is a 300GB External Maxtor connected to it, so time to time I use it as JukeBox.

DVD Encoding mostly done TempENC via Nero Burning on PC.

Let be throw the ball back to you.
Do you know any IR or BT or any other type of Remote for iBook? I really don't want to get up everytime I want to switch something. Also Remote with "coldboot" button would be great.

Thanks~!
