Does anyone know when sony (or any other 3rd party) plans to put out some UMD-R's? and maybe how much they will be?

Not sure if they will...they'll rely to much on the MS Dou and 3rd parties for movies and software

There is none, and it would probably cost too much. Easier to just buy mem sticks

I am not sure weather Sony will put these out. I doubt it seeing as how sony stands on piracy. It would be a good idea not to release these. However I am sure some 3rd party will come up with a writing disc drive .
