DIY PSP Games!
According to Gamespot, There will be a new game called Adventure Player that will be released in Japan for 38 dollars and will allow you to create a game on your computer and then transfer to your memory stick to play on the device. However there are no current plans to release to U.S. So check for it on your favorite Importer site!

Thats pretty cool, but I bet this could lead to piracy because they might find a way to get it to transfer the image of the cd over and have that game boot other games.

Huh?

All this is doing is creating a interface on your computer for desining some type of map with objects and other things to play around with.
You then load this file on the memory stick, and the UMD disc then uses its Game engine to run this file.
Shouldn't be anything special.

yeah, but look at how the xbox was exploited, with just modified fonts and it could run homebrew programs and illegal copies of games. Someone might figure something out for this. But other then that it would be pretty cool.

Well i am not against it if this does help hack it. Hacking is not just a bad thing. Hacking can open up many new possibilites for a device not just piracy. I would gladly welcome homebrew on the PSP, nothing wrong with that. And i am sure it will come sometime.

Yeah it would be cool, and having a program with the ability to play other files then mpeg4 files would be good. Maybe even a gameboy emulator!

I believe if we get some skilled coders a GBA Emulator is even possible. With this things Graphics chip and 333mhz processor it should be able to emulate the GBA. Just look at the GP32. People got a GBA Emulator on that and its specs weren't that great.

that would be awsome. I know you hsve to own the games to emulate them legally, but do you need to own the system? because some emulators use the systems ROM to run, and if you dont own the system, can you use the systems ROM?
