PSP Magazine w/free UMD Demos & more

Well, since we have been discussing how people paid so much money for the PSP itself, I thought this should be a strange topic to discuss.

From what I can see, games are at $40 to $50.
If you could get some deal from somwhere, probably can get one at $35.

I don't remember how much Game Boy titles where when they came out, but I believe $50/game for a $250/machine is a lot of money.

Just like the magazine offering game demos and videos for consoles out there, what do think about a PSP Magazine offering the same?

You don't see it happening, or it is a slim chance with UMDs being so closed and expensive to manufacture.

Only way is probably if Sony made an Official magazine and only produced themselves.

It's definetly possible...it would be the first...unless I am wrong.

Yeah, but think about it, how long does it take you to finish a game, or play it until you know every little thing?

Anyway I am posting about gamefly under gamefly topic.

But it must be pretty expensive to manufacture those little disks.

I wouldn't think any more that a CD, or even a dual layer DVD now...

Maybe the disc itself costs less, but the lack of writers and probably rights management.

i don't think its that expensive to manufacture the mini disks , but i think its the simple fact that not everyone manufactures them that contriubtes to their overall price

I have tought about the cost as well ...

Here's a few things;
1) The PSP, IMO, could have been more. I mean, look at all the stuff it does. I think are taking a hit so the word gets out and the console gets sold. Having the unit in the hands of the consumer is the best marketing.
2) In regards to the games, the $50 does seem a little steep, but if you think about it Sony could have charged an online subscription.

It's like someone said above, the PSP can feel like a money pit. In the long run I believe it'll be worth it.

If Sony ever makes it so you can run games from a memory card, demos could come on normal CDs and put on the memory card.

Personally I hope that happens, because i'd like to develop my own games for the PSP.
