Surf the Net with Wipeout Pure Steps...
Found these on another site.....We have already talked about and done this, but these are in good order...

1. Go to the Main Menu of your PSP.

2. Go to Settings.

3. Scroll down to Network Settings and Press the X button.

4. Select Infrastructure Mode.

5. Select New Connection.

6. Name the connection so that you know it is for web browsing. (ex. WebConnect)
That way you can use another connection for the rest of your online games.

7. Push the Right Direction Key to go to the next menu.

8. Select the Scan option and let it pick up your WLAN settings.

9. Once it picks up a connect, Push the Right Direction Key to go to the next menu.

10. Select Custom for the Address Settings.

11. Push the Right Direction Key to go to the next menu.

12. Leave IP Address Setting on Automatic.

13. Push the Right Direction Key to go to the next menu.

14. Select Manual for your DNS Setting.

15. Push the Right Direction Key to go to the next menu.

16. Enter in 67.171.70.72 as your Primary DNS and just leave the Secondary DNS blank.

17. Push the Right Direction Key to go to the next menu.

18. Select "Do Not Use" for your Proxy Server settings.

19. Push the Right Direction Key to go to the next menu.

20. Push the Right Direction Key to go to the next menu.

21. Push the X button to save your settings.

22. Do a quick test of the connection to make sure it's working correctly.

23. Launch Wipeout Pure and go to the Download option in the main menu.

24. Select the name of the new connection you just made (ex. WebConnect), connect, and enjoy browsing the internet on your PSP.

I don't have Wipeout Pure yet, but plan on buying it, even more so because of the web browser capabilities.

I'm just curious on how it works when web browsing; how do you select links? Is it Similar to how you would tab on a website through links, or do you use the analog stick like a mouse? If not, that would be the best way I think of browsing without something external plugged in for future acc's!

If you use above IP as DNS this should be what you will see. Setting your secondary to your router will also help if you have connection problems.

As for the Automatic IP, it should only work if you have DHCP enabled on your router, otherwise you won't be able to connect, unless you input the IP yourself based on your subnet from Router/Access Point.

Matty,
I think the api keyboard helps if it has tab key.

and this is what I read
Quote:
Up and Down are used to move from link to link. D-Pad only though, L is to go back and R is to go foward. Entering links is X, refresh page is SQUARE. Also there is no cursor and no title-bars. If there is no link around, the PSP just scrolls the page.

I think If you know your REAL dns info, it should also help you go directly to any site. To find out your DNS info, go to command ( Start/Run/Cmd) and type ipconfig/all and look for DNS

Thanks for the info. I wanted to know what it was capable of so far. I am not sure if I wanna spend the money on Wipeout Pure for both the game and browser, or just wait for the supposed web utility disc from Sony in the near future?

Is the game worth it even if you don't try to utilize the browser for browsing, not just downloading??

You have a Pocket PC right? I think I saw your name over on Aximsite. To tell you the truth, its not really that big of a deal. Its neat to get it working, but I havent used it since I took that picture back on page 1. Im content keeping my devices separate. Laptop on the road/work, PPC on the go, PSP for the fun.
As far as your error code...... Haven't a clue. Can only say that it took me a few tries, and a LONG wait before the page started loading.
