Dead Pixel Checker!
The issue of dead pixels in the heat of the launch has made even those with PSPs in perfect condition nervous that they might not be knowing what to look for.

For those not sure whether their PSPs are free of dead pixels, IGN member krypt0nian sent a series of checking images that can be uploaded to the PlayStation Portable (via a compatible USB cable and a home PC or Mac.) These images should help people look at their screen under specific conditions and know for sure if their system is clean. You can download the file for installing on your PSP below.

congrats chris, but i must say, given your status in the handheld world, companies selling the psp were given the 'watch out for this guy' message and told to give you one out of the 'premium' hehehahaha (kidding)

besides, if you havn't noticied it yet, and one comes up in the test, besides the fact of you knowing that its there every moment you play your bundle of joy, you probably won't notice it during game play.
But a dead pixel will ruin gran turismo psp with such crisp graphics!
