just noticed,
Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes

follow this:

Network settings,
infrastructure mode,
-new connection-
connection name ---> (right)
SSID *****This is where we might be getting problems.. at this point, scroll down to SCAN.
Whatever is %100 (when you are next to the router) select that SSID (hoping it is broadcasted)
Hit ---> Right,
Choose EASY on address settings.
and save

and try again to network update or wipeout.

If you are getting %100 and not getting connected, that means you are not putting SSID correctly.
Check your Router for SSID and manually input that to PSP.

let us know how it works out

how is that possible.. with easy, it sets itself to use DHCP just like your PC.

did you SCAN first and choose the one with YOUR SSID ?

What happens when you scan..

hey

ive been reading and just registered

i got a psp today and i am having the same exact problem

with web 128 bit enabled i get 1% connection + no internet connectivity

if i turn off the wep everything works fine

i have tried changing channels auto grabbing the ssid, turning on broadcasting ssid, manually and auto entering settings, but whenever wep is on i either get some error or 1% signal strength

does anyone have any new suggestions

btw.. i have a linksys g router

thanks

has anyone with a belkin router successfully connected you psp to the internet?

I am able to scan and find my router but on the psp my router's SSID isnt displayed and i have WPA (instead of WEP 128 bit) and mac filter on.

If anyone has a belkin router, Please report your results.

i figured out what most of your problems might be. if you are using a wireless-g router just make sure that it is configured to allow wireless-b, since this is what the psp uses.
i tried everything else possible and once i did this it worked. hope this helps.

well, most of G routers allow B access. The problem is.. If everyone else on the network is G, and you come in with a B, that slows down everyone else, because router has to adapt to the lowest bandwidth.. mind you, it is 6mbps, unlike they say, 11mbps.. that is actually combined in/out

yea-but if you are trying to connect the psp you have to make it allow B.
if you dont you wont be able to connect with the psp at all.
if you feel it is slowing you down just change it everytime you want to play the psp.
simple as that.

its a pain. tried changing the router from WPA to WEP, but it still didnt work. plus it crashed the network, so i had to change it back to WPA. As for enabling 802.11b i have no clue, wtf how to do it. I do not see any option, so i assume its already suppose to accept b connections

that's strange.
of course it should automatically accept, but we are talking about restricting it to, if there is anything like that. seems like not.
