The background color of the PSP changes depending on the month. For example, last month (Dec 2004), it was orange. This month (Jan 2005) it is a light blue color. In the coming months, it will change to the following colors:
February 2005: Yellow
March 2005: Green
April 2005: Pink
May 2005: Dark Green
June 2005: Purple
July 2005: Aqua
August 2005: Sky Blue
September 2005: Violet
October 2005: Gold
November 2005: Light Brown
December 2005: Red

Pick the color that you want from the list, and then simply set the date inside that month.

Stupid Sony

This is one of the stupidest things I've seen Sony do. I hate it when companies think they know better than me what I like. I want to change the background color to something more readable, but Sony won't let me. Worse, they force a change every month. Imagine if Windows changed its theme every month....

Give us a break, Sony, and add a setting to allow the user to set the color. You can keep an option for monthly switching, too, because I'm sure some people will find that cool, but give us the chance to be in charge.

PSP Display color
So straight out of the box my background display was this yellow/lime greenish color. Last night after playing some Wipeout my background display turned PINK! Is this a setting i somehow changed without noticing whatsoever or is it some kinda sick Sony April fools day joke.

don't worry about it.

What do you think? PSP will allow users to change the background after 1 year? Or is it setup by month but disregards the year?

Can you set up the Date manualy and trick the screen color?

Yes you can set the date manually to change bg colors but it is still pretty dumb. Why Doesn't Sony just let us choose I mean, they could have a setting to change month by month, or choose you're own, obviously someone like LiL John Will not like to find his BG color be Pink when he wakes up today.

Theres pink? well that sucks... I wouldn't want to change months though, I like to know when i last saved my games. They should have customizations, like allowing you to choose what color on what month, or background pictures or anything!

I think this is kinda funny at first, but It can be anyoing after a while.. I allways want the screen of my PDA, PC and Phone to look good.. And if it changes and I can't make it the way I like it, it can be very anyoing..
