Even though I am already on my 3rd case I could not wait for the Vaja Case to come out. They are showing it as coming soon, the price......$180.00!!!!! BASE!!!!! I hope this is a big mistake since I don't know who would drop that much on a case. It looks pretty sharp and you don't have to take it out of the case for UMD access.

looks fantastic, but I dont know what color Ill get, maybe Ill get two. I also hope that they drop the price, but if they dont I wont have any problem pulling out the cash.

I'm down with the Vaja Cases. If they are anything like their PDA cases they will act like a natural extension of the device.

Usually you'll see Vaja cases for other Portables for around 50$, but 200?? I mean its quality but is it 200$ quality?

Most Ivolution cases ARE over $100.00. It's really no surprise to me this one is $180.00. You get what you pay for. Trust me when I say, If you value your PSP, it's money well spent. Ahhhhh I remember the smell of the first Vaja case I purchased......................................... ......

nice leather is expensive and you get what you pay for, and along with that vaja is most certainly betting that people who dropped $250 on their psp without even thinking about it are willing to pay $180 for a case.

So true! I just ordered an I-volution case for my Treo 650. The PSP will be next....oh yes.

Erm. I've seen leather jackets on sale for that price... And designer purses, which use much more leather. The only reason those are more expensive is because they require large areas of leather... Seriously, pieces of (bleached and dyed) leather at this size would not cost them anywhere near 180 dollars.

If anything, it's the cost of assembly that's driving the price up, considering it's not that simple of a protective covering. Me? I'd rather drop and break my psp before I pay 90% of what it cost just to protect it. If the sales of the actual psp have been inhibited by customers who are conservative, I don't really forsee enough people shelling out for a case.

yes, but when talking about leather jackets or designer purses and so on there is a much more saturated market (more companies/products) so there is much less demand and prices have to be competitive, however, with vaja being the only company in its category/class the demand is driven up, and without anyone else to compete with the price skyrockets.
