Is there any RPG for PSP that I can get an import of that I would be able to enjoy without knowing Japanese?

Also, is buying import games legal?

yes, buying import games are legal. I believe, it is illegal to sell them, not to buy them.

All PSPs are Region-Free for games.

^smart move, like you said why buy a game that you can't even read what they are saying? But honestly there are some games out in Japan that I would like to have, too bad you couldn't change the language on them

Yeah, the only game I would consider buying from Japan is an Ape Escape game (Ape Escape Academy is already out in Japan; Ape Escape 3 for the PSP is coming, or so I've heard). They don't require much reading if you can figure out the controls. However, I'll just wait for them to come out in the U.S. There aren't even any English reviews of them before they come!
