i think my square button is broke on my psp
okay the reason i say this is behind the square button i can see a metal bar, so i dont know if that is normal, also the square button moves to the left when i push it down, is the square button meant to be any different to the other buttons? it still works fine but doesnt feel right and i dont know anyone else who has a psp to compare it to. anyone know??? thanks to anyone who can help!

It's funny you mentioned this. I just got my PSP today -- and was playing a game -- and noticed the square button is a little different than the other buttons.

When you press it, it doesn't "click" as much as the other ones. Is that normal? Have other people noticed that?

if you remember, way back when PSPs first were coming out a TON had this problem in Japan. They fixed it, but still some are a little weird (not nearly as bad as the ones in Japan though were some did not work at all).

Yeah, very common minor defect. Some people have been taking theirs apart to fix it....after the warranty period, mind you.

that metal bar you see is the holding bracket for the screen, the square button is cut different than the others to accomidate that. i can take some pics and show you upon request, i have had all 3 of my psp's apart and never seen anything different nor have never had a problem with any of the square buttons, if you need any other help just let me know.
