I don't buy games, I used to rent them at gamefly but not anymore, since I don't have much use for it and since I am still at firmware 1.5, to keep my emulators in place (SNES, NES, others..)
I was wondering if there are others in same boat as me. I also got a Nintendo DS, played about 5 games, finished a few, and it is there also. I might get Tetris for that, but that's later.
Now I am wondering what to do with my 1.5 PSP...
I will not upgrade to newer firmware unless they allow PS1 games to be played without PS3..

i love my psp. i dont do the homebrew stuff cause i think the additional functionality isnt really worth it. its a shame that you didnt get any good games. i guess renting is cool and all. i love killzone, and lumines I and II, gta is awsome, and all the need for speeds. someday theyll have a gran tourismo, which will be wicked...
the ds is also a great device. some of the games i play on ds are advance wars dual strike, contact, ff3, mario vs donkey kong, yoshis island... awsome. i have loads of games for both systems if you want any suggestions :)
After this topic, I booted it up and played a bit of SNES :) I forgot how great PSP's screen was.. :) I hear 1.5's are worth extra few $, but I don't really care for that, I might sell it..

I got mine at Christmas last year (boss gave all us engineers one for Christmas). Played it a lot for the first month or so, and that's been about it. I picked it up a while back, played Liberty City Stories off and on for about a week, and that's been about it.
For some reason, consoles just don't hold my interest. My PDA holds more interest with a game like Text Twist..
Strange stuff..

I had one a little while after they launched, and while it was fun, it was never compelling enough of a device to keep me coming back for more. I sold it to fund my Xbox 360 and haven't looked back since. I use my PDA if I'm really desperate for gaming on the go.

My PSP was starting to get pretty dusty there for a while, but I was looking through Best Buy, and saw Ace Combat X and decided to buy it. Now I have been playing almost every day. IMHO Ace Combat is the first game that truely feels like it was made only for the PSP platform. Excellent controls, and wicked gaphix.
I am planning on upgrading the memory to 4 gig soon, so I can connect my PSP to my home system. I got the Stereo base with remote control, so it is much better then a simple cd player.
That game looks great, it must be a good game for those who like the genre.
But I don't get it where they find "Alcohol Reference, Mild Language, Violence" in a flight combat game.. Do the pilots sip bud while shooting? :)

About a week? That's more like it. When I last played it, I just booted up Ridge Racer and played some of the last rounds.
Has anyone played Ape Academy ? Not the ape escape, but the academy? I can't seem to pass last round, it asks me to get recommendation from everyone.. it is strange..`

Nope, I haven't played mine since August. I used to play a lot and I was in a SOCOM:FTB clan, but it died out. Maybe I will buy Killzone: Liberation and FTB2. FF:T for PSP will be great and the new Metal Gear might just re-kindle my PSP gaming.
Now that I live at school, I barely have time to do anything other than homework and my sport (which is now riflrey in the winter). I do play my 360 though when I have to.
