I don't have Epix, but I was planning to get it. I was thinking of running Mapopolis with it, although I am not sure if mapopolis ever released square screen version before they went out of business. I did see WM5 version and VGA versions though.

I had Mapopolis running on my 51v at one time but was not happy it was
discontinued as a resource so abandoned it.
If your gear has Java abilities Trekbuddy is the way to go as the
mapping is unlimited,I run it on the 51v and Nokia2680.The only
reason I don't use it on the HTC7501 is that I OCN8 on it.

It looks like you need to put your own custom maps. How do you get it to work? Since it runs on BlackBerry, I can give it a try.

Well the Nokia has Java Mid2p installed so it was only a challenge
with regard to it's limited memory and what folders have user read/write
permission.Seeing that it has a camera I used the image folder.
Download TB.jad and TB.jar and BT them to fone and place in
Gallery/Images/Trekbuddy folder then execute TB.jad .
The 51v was a real learning curve but with help from TB Forum
I eventually got it working along with GlobalSat BT-332.
I had to install IBM J9 java + JSR-75 file connect java subroutine.
Everything is on the 2 gb SD in a TB folder.
