Private message notifications gone wild?

Anyone know why I would get 17 emails (and counting) from Aximsite telling me I have one new private message? They are all time stamped the same time and they keep coming at about 1 every 15 minutes.

6 more and counting. It's now faster than 1 every 15 minutes.

Count's up to 50 now! Finally had to turn off email notification. Hope that works.

Yes I have. Even with email notification turned off, I now have 202 emails notifying me that I have a private message.
