How to Spell Check Posts?

OK, my posts look pretty bad because of all the typos. How do people avoid these? Close proofreading, some type of spell check option on the site, or writing in Word, using spell check there, then copying to the post? Any ideas would be appreciated, the simpler the better.

I use the spell checker built into the Google Toolbar. No need to cut and paste.

Thanks. I downloaded and installed the toolbar. Hope that stops all those embarrassing typos.

Perhaps that is the simplest solution of all - no downloading, no installing anything, and free. Plus I'm usually embarrassed about something else anyway.

well alot of my post are via mobile. I respect a good typo in any post. besides, you don't really know a word unless you can spell it more than one way....

Well, one more "feel good about misspelled words" thought. Up until the late 1800s or so, spelling wasn't really normalized. Even people like Thomas Jefferson spelled the same word several different ways in the same document. And if you ever read Lewis and Clark's journals you will see some truly bad spelling, such as "the mosquiters was turrible". So maybe we are all in good company?

I use a little program called tinySpell(Google it).If I misspell a word it beeps at me and gives me the option to change the misspelled word with the correct word.If you see any misspelled words in my post it's because I didn't pay any attention to the beeps.Believe me I hear a lot of beeps sometime.

When you can explain why Table and Label are not spelled the same, then I will feel bad about my spelling. Itold my college prof that once. they just looked at me funny and walked away.

My wife just shows up behind me as I type and asks me if I actually attended a school at any point of my life.... I don't tell her when I'm going to use the computer any more...

Ya, i have seen that before, interesting stuff, and still very readible if you are not trying to be intense with it, just casually read it and it comes pretty easily.

I personally just read over my posts, and if something looks wrong i usually put it into word or something as i am not much for toolbars (googles spell check works great here though). Or i just sometimes let little mistakes slide since it is a board site:)
