Splitting the x50 / x51 forum

Is the x50 and x51 close enough to keep the forum merged? Doesn't the x50 come w/ WM2003SE with the option to purchase a WM5 upgrade? I'm asking becasue each time I search for x51 issues, the system returns both x50 and x51 threads. I have to beleive much if the informaton -- especially WM2003SE issues are not relevant to the x51?

MobilitySite has forums defined for specific model numbers and it is makes it much easier to find solutions instead of posting redundant questions.


Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'm an iPAQ veteran and don't know the history of Axims.

They were originally two separate categories, but members voted quite strongly in favour of merging them; the problem is, many of the issues you'll encounter on an x51 are the same as the ones already encountered on an x50. To not utilise the information we already have would arguably be more of a disadvantage than having to sort through a few more search results.

When I first joined I was the same way. I didn't know that the x50 and x51 were basically the same.

Until you know they are basically the same thing (just one being upgraded) one wouldn't know what solution works for what axim.

Just FYI, most solutions work for all x50/x51's. The only time they vary is typically the lesser versions x50/x51 verses the higher versions x50v/x51v because of the VGA options.
