can some one expane why a perfictally legit thread was closed and deleted?

ABF it isn't the space but rather the front page of the site that display too many off topic threads. I know that I am guilty of creating many "fun" threads and requested a while back to Chris, to prevent the WF threads not to be on the front page. Remember that also new members that look at the forums for PPC threads, see mostly off topic threads. The new potential Pocket PC advertisers may be turn off by the amount of them. My2¢

then how about making it so that by defult, the water fountain view is turned off, when the member jions he/she gets a pm with instactions on how to ena\ble it. that way if the advertizer doesnt join they dont see the water fountain. also how about where you dont have access to the water fountain unless you are a registed member with 100 posts. :)

I am sure that Chris has thought about many of your suggestions. He will do it when he has some free time and feel that it is needed.
