Foeggy, I like your idea. I'm curious where this goes.

It would help if each of the sub-forums had its own RSS feed. Then we could track only the forums we like.

It'd be sweet, that's all!

:approve:

I'm not trying to throw you any flak, i've just read some of this type of thinking recently, especially as i recall, within threads...and i've just grown very weary. When i don't want to read something, i just bypass it, it takes no time @ all to glance over. I just wonder sometimes. So i guess my frustration came out, i was rude and i'm sorry...
i'll put my horns away, usually i'm a perfect really....

I ignore them some days and others I look at them. I have created many "useless threads" here at Aximsite and I can admit that these threads helped many members to know each other. Personally I would be happy without religeous and political threads. For the other threads they will stay so members can have fun and carry conversations.

I know exactly where you're comming from...

Although the posters of these threads aren't breaking the rules, I do feel they are abusing the forum. Which is a shame as some of these topics would (under different cricumstances and locations) make for fantastics debates, instead of what we tend to end up with here.

me too... I don't mind people having different opinions to mine (considering some ideas that i have that's definately a good thing ) but i do think that people using aximsite as their own poltical platform is wrong. Especially where they post them without even thinking them through.

The good thing about political or religious threads here is diversity.
The only thing most of us have in common is the Axim.
It's a great opportunity to exchange opinions/flames with people that we'd never speak to ordinarily. An opinion is not an opinion if it can't survive a debate (then, I think, it's called faith).

I understand why those not interested gets frustrated if all they're after is some axim info, so it would be a good idea to be forced to check a checkbox or something for "off topic" stuff (Like the waterfountain).

This is also the reason for the forums. I fyou are looking for X50 or GPC information go to these forums and stay away from the WF and WFHoF. Of course if you select to see new posts you will get then all but filstering by forum interest is your best way to avoid looking at tne offending posts.

What if there was a Water Cooler - Political & Religious thread that we could set to not be included in New Posts?

...and the "Haiku" in your sig is not Haiku.
(sorry, I'm a Purist).
" A haiku contains a special season word (the kigo)
representative of the season in which the renga is set,
or a reference to the natural world."

"Senryu is a similar poetry form that emphasizes humor and human foibles
instead of seasons, and which may not have kigo or kireji."
