Well, I've been censored by the MODS at Aximsite

Well, I made a post about [something inappropriate].

Anyhow, there were a few replies in the morning and by the afternoon I've noticed that it was removed my the MODS here. Oh, well, there goes free speech. No profanity was used in the post so I'm not sure why it was removed.

By the way, since it was removed, did I also lose my posting counts, trying to reach that old 1k post.

I don't think we need a new thread created every time an old one gets removed.

Sometimes threads cross that line of appropriateness.

And this IS a private site. Please don't start with the "free speech" thing again.

For future reference, rather than start a new thread, PM one of the mods or admins.

I was gonna say that howard2k.

This forum is like going into somebody's house to chat. At any time they can say "You know what, I think you should go." It's not censoring because you can go somewhere else and say it.

Pebu, I had exactly the same analogy in my head. Think of this forum lik Chris and Martin's home. If I ask you not to do something in my home (even though you may have a right to do so elsewhere) you would (I hope) respect that. Same thing in the forum. Chris and Martin own the forum, so they write the rules.

Howard's got it spot on (and it was inappropriate. If you need me to explain why one of the mods removed it, PM me).

Incidentally, Doug, it's Chris who owns the site; I'm just his lackey. Think of me as Riker to his Picard, i.e. I don't do a lot, but I do look good!:hide:

benots4, I would only point out that all of the stats you referenced relate to the Axim/PocketPC information on this site. And, the point of the rule was to ensure that it stays that way. Now, can we close this silly thread, so we can all get back to figuring out new and exciting ways to break an Axim??

i'm afraid it's not that easy. yes chris has built this "house" and yes he has been gracious enough to let us in, but he also is making money off of us.

it's his rule of the house ultimately, but if you treat your guest's bad(by whoever's opinion) then the money goes away.

the key to this forum(and it's revenue making ability) is the traffic(guest's in the house) and the brains(chris and mods) behind all of this. what happened was that within the rules(with a couple of exceptions) of the house, the brains pissed off some guests. it's that simple.

If it was inappropriate then it should be deleted... who cares? Why is this still dragging on? If you made a website and someone posted something that you deem inappropriate on it, you would delete it too.

There is freedom of speach here but if it is inappropriate it gets delete. It is like if you are a guess in a house and you say something inappropriate someone tells you and you know what the rules are. Not every guess in the house would have heard what you said. It is the same here a few have seen it but the majority didn't. Move on!

you can drive your car anywhere you want, but you can't drive it here, here, and there.

keyword "but". you can't call something this if it's that.

freedom of speech protects inappropriate talk.
