Worried AximSite Causing Crash?

Greetings All-

I was wondering if anyone else out there was experiencing frequent IE and FireFox crashes when navigating AximSite? Normally I would just yell at the computer and try again - but I've been experiencing this on several different computers (laptops and PCs), all running several different versions of Windows, Linux, IE, and FireFox (from win2k to vista, IE 6&7, and FireFox for windows and linux).

My guess is it's one of the ad bars, because a page will crash - i'll return to the same exact page, and it'll be fine. it sometimes even happens on the front page.

Anyone else seen this?

I don't have any problems while at work (T-1 line) However, once in awhile it hangs up on my PC at home (dial up).

Right now it won't load at all for me on IE6 but is quite OK on Firefox. It has seemed very slow at times during the last few days.

we've been experiencing alot of contact form spam lately. Not sure if it's linked, but I will look into it. I haven't noticed it personally. I just checked it out in IE6, IE7, Firefox, and crappy Opera.

hmm.... maybe we nneed to implacate an anti spam system. maybe something that blocks posts with the words or the plan b which is find out where most spam messages come from and block the ip addreass of that area.

I only use "crappy" opera and havnt had any crashing issues.

The only issue for me is the stupid adbar that covers the quick reply box on occasion.

uh oh, browser wars. IE Fett and Opera-wan...
not to mention Luke Firewalker

I haven't had any trouble with the browser, but there were site slowdowns in the last 24, definitely. I do have intellitext switched off, however.

yea, that many times. finally opened in a new window, worked fine.

do any of the ADs use flash? i don't believe i have the latest (or any) version of flash installed. i get the info bar to install, but i ignore it. maybe the fall-back page for the flash applets is defunct?

and to clarify - i'm not referring to "page not found", slow or spotty loading in this thread. what i'm referring to is as you load a page, the browser throws a general protection fault, memory read error, or the like - then closes.

this all started probably about 6 weeks ago. sometime around the release of A12 (coincidence i'm sure), but that's an event that stuck in my memory.
