Odd search behaviour

I had a something I wanted to add to André's fabulous job on kitchen and his bath and noticed that the latest thread wasn't in my subscribed list. I then used the advanced search to look for threads started by André and kitchen in the title and only came up with his first post (in the contributor's lounge).

Has André been banned? Did he have some secret naughty message in one of the pictures he posted? is his kitchen a terrorist lab? :hide: :hide:

Seriously, just curious why only one post showed up in the search, when both posts were in the same forum.

my search came up w/20 (or 405 when I just look for André's threads; try my list and see what you want ?

I think it's just you...

Like daddybfree, I came up with quite a few results searching for threads started by André with the search term "kitchen". Make sure you don't only choose threads that START with "kitchen" but posts that CONTAIN the word "kitchen".

I'll blame it on firefox. I used the title thread filter; thread started by, eaxct match. here is a screen shot of both the search and the results.

Also this has happened from both an xp laptop and and a win2k box, both using FF 2.0.

daddybfree may be onto something since I hadn't bumped for a while. oops wrong thread!:)

I'm on FF too, so no excuses there! ;)

When I search for THREAD TITLES only, I get two threads:

Remember the kitchen floor I was working on...
Finally I finished the kitchen floor

EDIT: Under Search Options, did you make sure your dates are not filtered?

Actually, they were filtered to only show the ones within the last week, - at least I think so, but it only shows the older one :headscrat

I use FF too....no problem....

Make sure and check which search options you have selected :)

Andre changed his name, maybe thats a problem?

Andre with accent mark to Andre w/o accent mark.
