This site is dying , the Axim section is degenerating into a "gimmie convoy" of people whining about WM6.
If you look amongst the whining there are still a huge number of dedicated axim users looking for support, not dead , diverted at the moment, by the latest fad. Football Season
As you so frequently point out you have the power to delete threads, ...
Really, I've frequently pointed this out? I don't remember ever having mentioned it.

I've been on the list for a year, and it amazes me how quick and helpful Ike and the others are in their responses. Ike seems to be here instantly to handle questions about wireless connections, and he has talked people through problems simple and complex. Always he is patient. I remember one instance a few months ago in which a poster tested the limits of rudeness and Ike was patient and polite through several replies. Ike's approach mirrors that of the other moderators, as I've observed the responses on the site. That's why this site is so great--there are really decent and helpful people here, and the tone is set and maintained brilliantly by the moderators.
At this point, the problem is that Eric12341 started this thread, with the apparent intent of showing how the mods are evil and wrong, so we should be talking about how to download WM6 ROM's to prove that we're free humans and not Communist drones, or some such argument. Yes, ikehiker's response was rather blunt, and a bit irate... but then again, considering how many times Eric12341's been doing things that WOULD get a person banned (see the post about 'no links or posts about WM6 ROMs for Axims), I'm surprised he and dk1 aren't already gone into the land of Ban.
hi, i beg to disagree about this site dying. first off, this site has become the defacto axim support site seeing that dell no longer supports the axim. second, there are still people puchasing axims even if dell stopped making them. this site has alot of info to offer, especially to newbies. btw, i thought this was a tech site, lets not bring politics into it.

Since I've seen a sizeable rise in posts about unofficial ROMs for the 8525 and other HTC handsets, I'm going to once again state that posting links to such unofficial software is prohibited on this site. If you post a link to a site, forum or other distribution channel of a ROM which is not originating from a first-party website, like AT&T or HTC, you will be permanently banned from posting.

A true conservative doesn't discriminate at all, we hate everyone equally.

I had to click on the link to view this post, Eric, since you are normally on my ignore list; however, you know full well that I am not a conservative and I sincerely hope that you realize that my statement was anything but discriminatory.

The Moderators are just great. They have to monitor the site, to ensure that all thread are in wave length with the aximsite policies. That's not an easy way considering the amount of visit and posts received everyday.
I had a thread closed a month ago. But I had a fair explanation via PM. You can PM them, they are listening and respect your views. But you must respect theirs as well.
I respect their patience when I see all these new threads started in disrespect of the aximsite rules.
I am moderating myself, in a much smaller forum, we also have to delete, close or ban user, that's the moderator role.
If your thread was deleted/closed, I am sure you know the reason. But it's between you and the forum management, no need to share it with the other members.
