Email Notification

Why do I continue to get email notification when I do not check the box on the forum reply and I have it turned off on my user control panel. I've enabled it and disabled it more than once thinking that maybe it just didn't take. I haven't enabled it in a while now and I still continue to receive notification even on new threads.

When you first click on "Control Panel," does it show that you are subscribed to any Threads or subscribed to any Forums. If so, make sure that you unsubscribe from them. Anything that you are subscribed to, I believe, will send you an e-mail if there are any new posts in that subscribed thread or forum.

To see all of your subscribed threads, click the "View All Subscribed Threads" link on the right side of the Subscribed Threads section.

This happens even with new ones I subscribe to. I'd like to get track of threads I participate in w/o the email notification. If I unsubscribe to them all and then resubscribe, will this maybe solve the problem or will I get mail again?

No, it's definitely off.

I'm 99.9999% sure that if you Subscribe to a thread, then you will get e-mail notification. I don't think there is a way to turn this off.

Chris, or anyone else, correct me if I am wrong.

Bummer. I really want to keep track of whatever threads I participate in but it's kind of dissapointing when I keep seeing the mail notification icon and get all excited like someone was actually interested in writing to me only to find out it's a reply to a post, not that that's not exciting but you know...
