Comment on Mobility Site News Post Not Showing Up

I commented yesterday on a Mobility Site news post that ticked me off. The post is at:

I entered my comment originally at around 1:30pm US Central yesterday. Entered it once more a few hours later. I never got an error at all when submitting - but nearly 24 hours later, the comment has not showed up.
Can someone perhaps take a look at the moderation queue or similar for that post?

As far as I can tell, there are no comments held for moderation for the article you posted a link to. Comments to news articles don't usually get held up in a moderation queue, and you have plenty of posts, so I don't think your comment should have been held for moderation.

The author of the article may be able to view and clear any moderation queue for that article. Try sending a private message to the author and ask him to check for your comments.

BTW, I can see why that article ticked you off.

Julie - thanks for the reply. Do you mean send him a PM via the forums? If so, do you know his member name?

And yeah, I have to say I've been an RSS subscriber to Mobility Site for a long, long time. I enjoy many of the posts by Chris, Steve Laser, cititanic etc. - but Hillebrand's posts are a joke as far as I'm concerned. They are frequently condescending and insulting towards iPhone users, and are generally backed up by weak and badly researched arguments. I've said plenty more in my comment which I hope will soon be approved ...

My comment still never got approved after 26 hours or so - but I've now managed to post it on Tim's (identical) post at the Smartphone & Pocket PC Magazine site:

I'd love to know why Mobility Site still rate this guy as any sort of expert on mobile subjects. His Bio seems impressive, but every time he posts anything related to the iPhone, it's almost comical. As in, it would be funny if it wasn't generally just a witless diatribe against all iPhone users.

Did Steve Jobs piss in this guy's cornflakes way back when, or what?

The only 2 comments to that post that came across my email for moderation was from Brian and Marisa, these were approved last night or this morning. I typically do all the moderation of comments on the blog. The only comments I kill are vulgar comments or spam.

Did these comments left show as "awaiting moderation" or did they show live?

Hmmm - odd. In answer to the question, neither. They didn't show up, but also did not offer any error message or anything to indicate they were being held in moderation or similar.

That's why I submitted a second time - I was expecting to see a 'duplicate message' type response - but didn't see that either.

Thanks for the reply Chris - not worried about it now anyway as I left the comment on his Smartphone & Pocket Pc Mag post.
