While I think the site definitely needs a new look, many are used to and accustomed to this layout. I am thinking of something a bit more modern. I think either way, I will default one and let the other be selectable in the user control panel.

Ehhhh.....Auburn colors. You put me in a tight here Chris...hehe. :) But you know I'll be around no matter what the site looks like.
Overall though, the test layout looks great. I was just joking about the colors, and think that the layout looks very professional.

Is that all one layout? I looks almost like three different ones, if so......the bottom one is WAY too big of a change, too much color & too contrasty from our normal easy-on-the-eyes "soft shades".
If I had to go with one of the "three", I'd choose the middle one, the one that says "VBulletin 3 Public Beta".

NOT!
I need to incorporate the "Dell" blue color, but also want a metallic look.... I will play....

Yeah, I like the concept (although I'm not saying you need a change). Just change the contrast between the white and the rest of the screen. It doesn't fit width wise on my screen at 800 x 600 resolution.

No. vBulletin 3 will still be able to use the existing database, so no information will be lost during the upgrade.
