Not necessarily. A Full T1 is only 1.54Mbps, usually costing around $500/mo or so. You can get DSL up to about 2Mbps for around $100/mo less in most areas. The advantage of a Full T1 is that it's a fixed speed of 1.54Mbps, regardless of how far you are from the telco central office. With DSL the further away you are, the slower the speed is at some times. Also, with DSL you're not guaranteed to always have full speeds with syncrhonous transmissions.
In addition, T1 1.544mbs is also full duplex and unthrottled. I work for an un-named phone company and wire up DSL and T1's and better all day...

I see no problem with the new site. If anything it might be a tick faster.
I would not trade my cable connection for nothing. The speed is great and it never goes down.

I have the same problem, very slow since the upgrade of Aximsite. I am on UPC cable "classic"
I have no problems with other websites.
Peace,
Henk.

The new site is definitely noticeably slower. I don't understand why they had to change the site engine and everything. Everything was fine, now everything is slow like a snail. And no, it is not my ISP, not my connection, etc., because I have not noticed any speed change with any other web site. Only this one.

The speed of the site has been the same for me. It is slow at work but that is because of our crappy internet connection. Also, gaging the speed of this site against all other sites is not a good comparison. The engine I believe is the same except it is an upgrade (I believe).
That is correct. The issue with this site is that almost everything is build using a database on the backend. That slows it down somewhat vs just static HTML pages.
James is correct. There is a TON going on when pages are loaded here. The database server is pinging constantly to server up this sites dynamic content. Some corparate lans have trouble with this and that is why a company like my fathers takes so long to load pages. He experience a blank screen for 3-5 seconds before the page is rendered. He has t3 connectivity too.....
