New forum topic

I was wondering what would you people think of a new forum about modifications or improvements to our Axims, I dont think theres really a forum that suits this topic (maybe you could just rename the "tips and tricks forum"?), theres "new products" buts thats mainly about products on the market, I'm thinking about homemade solutions and creations, or program modifications/settings that can improve our Axims, maybe Axim Tuners, like Car Tuners sort of thing. This is one of the things that bring me to this forum to look for but I have to sift through a bunch of forums to find anything to help "tune" my axim since most of it is questions about problems people are having related to the topic. Things like how to build your own battery pack, or make your own Axim case, or how to modify programs to work properly or to maximize performance, that sort of thing.

Another suggestion might be to add a new forum dedicated to new programs that come out, or updates for current programs, so its an easy way to keep track and make sure you have the latest version of certain programs. (might have to split it up into catagories, but I think it would be ok to leave it as one forum so its easier to keep track of as long as people label what catagory the program is under ie. utilities/multimedia... and a rating would be really helpful to people looking out to try the program for the first time)

sigh, it is times like this that I would sometimes prefer people not to respond and leave me out to dry if they really have nothing to say, I know i might have misspelled unfortunately for ***** sake but i really dident feel like pulling out a spell checker for that missing e, that whole reply to your "comment" was like a joke, as in I know everything, but what the hell are those cats doing? sure I know the humour is bound to get lost in the explanation of it, hell it might have not even been there in the first place, BUT the attempt was genuine. And as always I love those who love to point out miniscule spelling errors (their just so cute, kinda like them kung fu kitties), as well as those who respond to threads as if they were posted for no reason. In other words just tell me I am rude and/or my ideas are pointless. Thank you, come again.

As for a modifications forum, I'm not sure there would be a huge amount of demand for it, what modifications can you do to an Axim? Paint it? Put a window on the back? Rewire it into an iPAQ?

well thank you for the reply... you can, as I said ealier,

make battery packs (I've done this using 4AAs and a battery compartment from radio shack),
various cases or covers (I'm working on one using an empty CD case's plastic),
Screen protectors (out of transparancies of course),
you can modify the D-pad (which I have done and cant say enough how much it has improved since on my X5),
A bit off topic but you can make CD sleeves (out of paper you print on, then fold up, I've found them invaluable)
Could have settings for emulators for maximum speed, or better controls, Registry settings, overclocker methods, stuff to improve performance.
Not to mention the infamous gamepad ideas (which I've kept track of for years)...

I'm sure there are many others out there, which is why I'd like to see a forum like this. As rare as these might be, this is the kinda stuff I like to see, I see them as productive posts rather than informative posts, so many forums are used for solving problems with the Axim, I think it would be nice to have one dedicated to making the axim better, but if you say the demand wont be there I'll take your word for it, afterall I was just curious to see what others thought. I'm also curious about the new programs forum too, no good I take it?

(I tried to find an actual clip, but no such luck, so my paltry attempt at recreation will have to do).
