In addition to the contributing member tag, contributing members now show in italics on the whos online and have a 200 Private Message limit as opposed to 40. There is also a contributing members lounge coming soon. (nothing special except you will have to be a contributing member to hang out there - same beer as the registered member bar down the street, just different company)

If I lived back in the wild west days, instead of carrying a six-gun in my holster, I'd carry a soldering iron. That way, if some smart-aleck cowboy said something like ‘Hey, look. 40 PMs total. Like your sent PMs and your received PMs. So really 40 isn't that much. Of course if you don't do too much PMing then I wouldn't worry about it.

There's not a minimum. Chris has to manually change your status to "contributor," so it sometimes takes a bit for him to change it..... and possibly moreso than normal right here around the holidays.

Well, for my 1000th post, I wanted to make a donation; however, I'm uncomfortable with Paypal.

While I've used it once, I've always been concerned about security.

Are there any alternatives to Paypal for donations?

Congrats on the 1000th post. I have beena memebr for quite a while and still not gotten there......but soon. As for Paypal I have used it for 2 years and never had a problem.
