Great. FYI, I believe only the "PPC" is necessary. I think anything after the semicolon is considered a comment (note that the pic I uploaded had 240X230 not 320 and it didn't matter)

AH-HA! I changed the Registry as stated above and VOILA! Back to being able to view the Mobile site again.

is the mobile site down? my x3i randomly wouldnt go to the mobile site after a soft reset. the registry key is correct, and the last software i installed was textmaker last night, but it worked fine afterwards.

I restored my axim to a time i know that the mobile site worked using sprite backup, but it still directs me to the full version of aximsite...

I too realized that the mobile version of aximsite.com inexplicably stopped loading on my x3i, instead the full version loaded. I couldn't figure out why, but now I believe I know why: Because I use the program Nyditot.

Like dotpocket, Nyditot changes the resolution of the screen for windows mobile 2003 devices from portrait to landscape. It appears that using Nyditot (or dot pocket) will prevent your pocket pc from being detected by browser sensitive websites (like aximsite.com) as a pocket pc. The only fix I found was temporary, and that was to use PHM Registry Editor to make the changes mentioned above, but those changes will not save after a soft reset so long as i have Nyditot installed....


In short, if you use dotpocket or nyditot you will be prevented from loading the mobile version of many sites, including aximsite.com. At least I figured out the problem! ;]

Hmm, Chris, is there a way to make a LINK for the stripped down version? Like www.slashdot.org has a their full site, and their palm/ppc site at www.slashdot.org/palm

Sometimes I just like the better quickness... and ability to go to the mobile site in NetFront without changing the user-agent and messing up other site's content.

I just installed Nyditot, and now I cannot view the mobile version... I guess that is what is causing it... :approve:
