Mobile Site FAQ

This is a screen of the new version of the mobile site:

Does the format look messed up to you?
Does it look like this?

If so, check this setting in your WM2003 Browser:
Make sure you are set to default....

To be continued...

This has been fixed for the mobile site. Have you tried it recently?

Be sure to delete your cookies via PIE and retry. If it still does not work then you will have to manually delete your aximsite cookie on your PPC as it might be corupted. You will have to do this via File Explorer.

Have you done a registry hack to make your PocketIE appear to websites like it is a desktop version (PC version) of Internet Explorer? If so, the mobile site will not open correctly. You will have to revert that registry key back to the original setting to fix the problem.

If that was not the cause of your problem, then I am not sure what could be causing the problem. The first step would be to clear the cookies on your Axim, and then see if that helps it to load as the mobile version.

I too have lost the ability to go to the mobile site and I haven't hacked my registry recently.

What exactly is the mobile site's address?

Thanks :approve:

There is no distinct URL for the mobile site, it just loads by default when you go to http://www.aximsite.com using a mobile browser. Are you using Pocket IE, or a different browser? I just checked to be sure, and I am having no problems going to the mobile site.

There just about has to be some piece of software that you have installed that is changing the registry setting. That is the only thing that should prevent a PPC from going to the mobile site.

It could be that your ISP has cached the pages (although it shouldn't because they are mostly dynamic)

Have you tried aximsite via a WIFI hot spot or connection through another ISP?

Check the following using a registry editor:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURR ENT_VERSION\INTERNET SETTINGS\USER AGENT\POST PLATFORM

If you do not see a String Value titled "PPC;240X320" then aximsite will not recognize your Axim as a PPC device.

Note that I'm talking about the title for the String Value, it's actual content is empty.

If you only have 240X320, it won't work. You MUST have "PPC" in the title.

Note that RegKing DOES NOT correctly reset this String Title when you disable the PIE 6.0 hack.

That was it! Thanks! I deleted the "240x320" string and created the "PPC;240X320" string and left the value blank. Thanks a million.
