Here's a couple of suggestions:

1) Can there be a date showing the last time a MyPDA was updated as part of the screen? I know I can add that myself, but it's a useful thing.

2) I think that every moderator should have a somewhat complete MyPDA. Maybe they already do (for example, I know Chris does, and so does ForkyFork). This is something that Bondr006 and I have discussed in the past, and maybe it's already in place. But our moderators should model the behaviors we want to see from all Aximsite users.

MyPDAs are just so plain USEFUL, and they're not used enough. We can change that.

Yeah - I agree.

Just had a thought on making editing simpler, use the message editor, then cut and paste code into MyPDA...

I think that for newcomers, one of the most usefull areas IS the "view my PDA". If they are set up reasonably well, a newbie can see what works, why, what each program is used for, and normally find a link to get it. How much easier can it get, especially for someone who is already overwhelmed by too much info. It is an idividual thing for each user, but at least the new people can get some ideas. I know I did.

I was really impressed by looking at the MyPDA of some of the members here, and have been seriously impressed.

Mine is a work in progress at the moment... I need to add some links for software and throw in some pictures (Gotta do the pictures cos the Bear told me :) )

I agree. The My PDA views are very helpful. I would like to expand mine. Therfore, I have to play a little dumb here. Can someone educate me on how to add links, or direct me to a tutorial? Many times I would like to add a link in a reply, but also in My PDA. Thanks.

Mine is done and I update/refine it regularly. The last update date stamp is a very good idea. I was also very impressed with some member's View MyPDA section. It helps me in doing mine. I got the initial codes from another member (Rob to name him) and started my editing from there.

A long time ago I posted the code for my my MyPDA - HERE

It is a plain text file but it will show you how to format you MyPDA :approve:

With regards to links in posts - when you press reply there are some icons above the window you type in:

Mountains: - post an image (linked to another site)
Earth and chain link - allows you to post a hyperlink to a HTTP site

You get the idea ;)

I have added a list of links in my MyPDA to (some) other users MyPDA's.

Let me know if you can think of some others I should add.

Thanks for that. Interestingly, I was just posting and I noticed those icons. I'll have to give them a try.

Rob1303, that is a very nice ViewPDA you have. Actually, as I look at the ViewPDA's of the posters in this thread, it makes me feel a little inadequat, hehehe. Guess I have some more work to do to keep up. You guys/gals put a lot of time on these. (mind you, so do I)
I figured out how to do it by watching the "reply" window to see what was happening as I typed and added things, and then assuming that is how to set up my viewPDA. I figued that was how Frenchy had to have set his up, cause his is the first one I saw that way.
I like the idea of having a link to the really nice viewPDA's of other people, mind if I steal the idea? Also, DSSmithZ28 has a not bad ViewPDA, if you want another link.
