had the sd card in the pda overnight, this morning I turn on the pda the file is shown on the pda. Is it because the file is 708 mb, the pda need time to read the whole file befor it's display on the pda. At least it's working now. wonder if anyone had the same experience.

axzilla: no ActiveStink; he says card reader.

dragonwen: some card readers require to be "unmounted" before they will flush the content of the last write operation to the card.

Windows 2k, XP: If you happen to have such a card reader you need to "stop" the card reader device before unplugging it from the USB port. For that, find an icon that looks like a green arrow - pointing down left - hovering over a small grey surface. When the mouse is moved over that icon and held stationary for a while a tooltip "Safely Remove Hardware" will appear. A left click on the icon will bring up a menu which allows to safely unplug that piece of hardware. Sic.
Good multi-format card readers like the SanDisk ImageMate series do not require any of this. Thumb Stick-like SD-only card readers often do.
