Compact Flash Card: What's Best?
I've followed some of the "troubles" with SanDisk here on this Forum. I've not had any trouble, yet. I need another card. What is your recommendation? What's worked best for you? I see a brand called PNY advertised at Best Buy. How is it? It IS more expensive than San Disk.

What do you recommend?

PNY = Slooooooooow. They are the only brand I would recommend against.

I have three sandisk flash cards (a standard, ultra II, and extreme III) and they all work fine.

Sandisk, PQI, Lexar, Corsair, Kingston Elite, Kodak, and Canon CF/SD's work just fine for me.

The only CF card I have is a X Digital Media PROformance 70x. It is a great card, fast and reliable, but way too expensive by today's standards and possibly out of production, too.

For about the same price you could get a 2GB Kingston Elite. FlyACL posted impressive speed results in another thread. If I wanted value for money I'd probably go with the 2GB Kingston. I'd leave the blue standard SinDisk cards alone. IMO, if you want SanDisk, get Ultra II or Extreme III.
