Buying a CF card over the internet
I’m looking to buy a 1GB CF card for my Axim.
I found a Sandisk SDCFB 1024-A10 at Buy.com for $49.95 after the $20.00 rebate. I have no experience with Buy.com Is there some place I can check on the company for any complaints? or good reviews?
Seems like a very good price.
Thanks

ftf,

I have bought from buy.com many times over the past 5 years and never had any problem. That said, see www.resellerratings.com/seller2107.html. Not everyone seems as pleased.

Also, check out www.dealram.com

Hope this helps!

I, too, have ordered products from BUY.com and have had no problems. I've bought products that are known to me, so it has been a transaction based on overall cost, availability and warranty.

Newegg.com have a very good record for reliability, service, price. Just search this site. Right now their 1GB CF cards start at $46.31 without a rebate. They also have high speed cards near this price range, e.g. the renowned 1gb Kingston Elite for $56.69. Newegg ship fast and cheap, typically 4.80 for 3 day shipping.

I have never had a problem with buy.com and I can also second the newegg.com for good prices and service. Right now there is a 2GB Kingston CF on buy.com for $99. Good deal, twice the size is usually more then twice the price. Good Luck~
