Are all SD the same?
So, I've been thinking about upgrading my SD to a 1GB (currently using a Kingston 512MB), and I'm curious what specifics I should really concern myself with. For the record, I primarily use the SD (I never use CF) for storing games, MP3, ebooks, and misc data.

The question I have is related to performance. Is it really worth my while to buy a card that offers higher performance (i.e. Corsair 133x), or is this all limited by my Ax's ability to read and write?

As far as manufacturers are concerned, I'm familiar with Kingston, SanDisk, Corsair, and Crucial; I trust these names, and won't save a few bucks to go with a no-name.

The extra speed will really only affect you if you are using a card reader to transfer data. The axim will not really use it. So, IMO, unless you own something else that might make use of a faster card (ie digital camera, etc) you can save some cash and just get the regular ones.

Some of the tests I have seen show the standard Lexar cards to be just as fast as some of the "high speed" cards out there. Good Luck~
