CF Card Manufacturer
Does anyone have any CF Card manufaturers to stay away from? I have always purchased SanDisk products and I was curious as to other brands such as Kingston.

I use Kingston and Lexar both in SD and CF formats and have had no problems with their products.

Welcome to Aximsite, SFD371!

A few couple of years ago, there were compatibility problems with Sandisk and Axim products, but that seems to be a non-issue now. You should be fine sticking with the major manufacturers such as Sandisk, Kingston, Lexar, Panasonic and Toshiba.

Based on what I read above, I went out and ordered a 2 Gig Lexar 80X with write acceleration technoology. eCost had a fire sale... $69.99 after the $100.00 mail-in rebate. Should be enough to hold me off for a while. It seemed like a decent price... is it?

I've used SanDisk and Lexar for years in cameras and never had a problem except an older Lexar Jump Drive CF card reader won't read some SanDisk cards.
